Toni Johnson is CEO and founder of Mission OutLoud. Overall, her career has focused on U.S. and international policy, energy and environmental issues, social equity, and shared economic prosperity.

She is on the finance committee for the Christopher Reynolds Foundation and was recently communications director for The Schmidt Family Foundation. She edited the most recent edition of the “Impact Investing Handbook” for Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors. And previously, in her role as head of knowledge and influence for the Heron Foundation, she designed and implemented the foundation’s long-term public influence and engagement strategy for investing 100 percent of the endowment toward its mission.

As a journalist, her work appeared in numerous major publications, including the New York Times, the Washington Post, CNN.com, Global Post, the Huffington Post, Business Insider, and Oil and Gas Magazine. Toni received her bachelor’s degree from Bard College at Simon’s Rock and her master’s in international journalism from American University.
